The company

Our goal is to change the paradigm of crops. During the last 10 years we were stabilizing some our processes in order to innovate.
We have been trained to lead this company, combining professionalism and experience. We are 30 years old in average. We are trained in agronomy, industrial engineering and administration.

The company offers support with permanent training and encouragement of individual knowledge to its employes, with the conviction that human capital is the true engine of its growth.
We work as a team, we share the same philosophy and quality objectives. Our teams are made up of women and men who carry out administrative activities, production techniques and work in the field.

More than 100 people are essential in our company. We have great confidence in those who make it up and that is why we maintain a close bond by betting on different products.
We consolidate the Finca Verde leader brand. Our fields are located between the districts of San Pedro and Ramallo, in the villages of Gobernador Castro, Paraje Tablas, Paraje la Buena Moza and Pérez Millán.

Our story

We were born 100 years ago with our paternal great-grandfather Don Miguel, who planted sweet potatoes by hand with a roast in a small piece of land. In 1957 Don Abelardo, our grandfather, bought a piece of the field where today we have the nucleus of our establishment. Our father Jorge joined the field work in 1972, incorporating his own and leased fields.

In the 1980’s the first washing machine was purchased to improve the placement of sweet potatoes in the markets. The formal entry into the fruit growing, with citrus and peaches, begins in 1989 in order to export. After the year 2000, the first facilities for packing were acquired and fruit began to be processed on a different scale to reach international markets.

Products

Our main products are peaches, nectarines, and sweet potatoes. We harvest peaches and nectarines between the end of October and the beginning of March. The sweet potato begins at the end of February and until May, being our varieties Beauregard (orange pulp) and Arapey.

We also have oranges, cereals (corn, soybeans, wheat), livestock and we are advancing in new crops like plum, kiwi, onion and potato. One of our main challenges is to maintain quality until reaching the consumer and offer products all year round.

Technology

Technology is a strategic key in our company. We intend to systematize the processes, carry out controls in the fields, verify safe transport. We have tools for each instance and we permanently renew technology at all points. A fundamental aspect of our company is the facilities for fruit and vegetable processing, and the extensive area of cold stores.
The new sweet potato washing machine is our own development. We incorporate sensors at the different points to control temperature and humidity, and we continue to make the necessary developments so that our products comply with strict quality standards.

Certifications

To meet the quality standards of international markets, we certify Global Gap, Food Experts, Grasp (social) and Smeta Sedex.

Markets

Based on an efficient and responsible production, packaging and marketing structure and under strict hygiene and quality standards, we are suppliers to major supermarket chains in the country, as well as we deliver in different hub markets throughout the country. Also to distributors and direct sales.

However, our eyes are on the external market. We want Argentina to reach the tables of the world. Our main client is the United Kingdom, although we also reach Spain, Holland, Italy and Uruguay. We will continue to work to enter each place where there is an opportunity. We have no borders, we have projects.
