Our story

100 years ago, our paternal great-grandfather Don Miguel, began to plant sweet potatoes by hand, with a roast in a small piece of land. A short time later, he adds a horse-drawn furrow machine and after a decade his first terrain.

In 1957 Don Abelardo, our grandfather, bought a fraction of the field where today we have the nucleus of our establishment. Those very hard times are remembered, where long-term fruit production was also a difficult challenge. 

Our father Jorge joined the field work in 1972, incorporating his own and leased fields, and adding personnel. Two years later, with a loan from Banco Nación, the first two tractors were accessed, allowing the company to modernize and expand.

Sweet potato production has always been one of the activities, and in the 80s the first washing machine was acquired, to improve the product’s placement in the markets. At that time, in addition, guinea straw was produced, a product in high demand in those years, and which was of great importance for sustaining the remaining activities for several years.

The formal entry into fruit growing begins in the difficult year 1989, inspired by exports to develop businesses. It was a decade of perseverance, where each year the production of citrus and peach trees grew.

The consolidation of the activity required adding its own infrastructure for packaging. They were tumultuous years, of shrinking to cancel debts and adjust to the situation in the country. But after the year 2000, the first facilities were acquired with other partners and fruit began to be processed on a different scale and reached international markets.
